Alright then, a little time for some creative work. I intend to do some in-class work on stream-of-conciousness next Monday with you. As such, you might want to wait until after those classes before you compose and post your work this week.
This is what I'm thinking... Please take a scene- and by scene, I don't necessarily mean a huge, monumental, powerful part of the story; it could be a 'small', quiet, otherwise negligible moment- from either "A Good Man is Hard to Find" or "Revelation", from any one character's point of view and re-write that moment in a monologue using some of the stream-of-consciousness techniques that you have researched and that we will have discussed. This should be written in the first person and about 200- 300 words.
Then... please (and this is part of your grade) you must go and review one of your fellow students, in your own class, monolgues with a short, concise evaluation in which you offer an briefing of why this is or is not a good example of stream-of-consciousness. This evaluation must be posted under that students monologue, not under your own. Please make this part no less more, no less than 150 words. Quotations are appreciated.
Once again the same deadline criteria will hold from the week previously. For a potential 100%, Wednesday at 6pm; for a potential 90%, Thursday at 6pm, 80%. Absolute deadline will be on Friday at 6pm.
Thank you.
